What to Expect
Experience a moving choral work created by six award-winning female composers that transforms the real words of women across Australia into a powerful musical celebration. This event is more than just singing – it’s about connection, collaboration, and celebrating the stories that shape us. Whether you choose to participate or watch, you’ll be part of an extraordinary experience filled with resilience, laughter, and strength.
The weekend workshops invite 100 women to come together to learn and perform moving songs inspired by real-life stories of women from all walks of life. The performance culminates in a spectacular concert open to the whole community.
An immersive sound and photographic exhibition will also be held, celebrating the unique weekend of stories and song.
Activity Details
The weekend workshops run from 26 to 29 November 2026 at Bondi Pavilion, with rehearsals scheduled as follows:
- Women's Chorus: Friday 17:30-20:00, Saturday 10:00-16:00, Sunday 10:00-17:00
- Girls' Chorus: Thursday 16:30-18:30, Saturday 10:00-13:00, Sunday 14:00-17:00
The final performance takes place on Sunday 29 November 2026 from 17:00 to 18:00 in the Bondi Pavilion Courtyard and is free to attend.
The exhibition runs from 4 to 20 December 2026 in the Yalagang Room, with an opening event at 18:00 on 4 December.
Location and Access
All activities are held at the iconic Bondi Pavilion, a vibrant community hub located at Bondi Beach. The venue offers accessible toilets, level access entrances, and mobility access to ensure comfort for all attendees.
Bondi Pavilion is easily reachable by public transport and is a well-known landmark, making it convenient for families to attend.
The exhibition is located in the Yalagang Room within the Pavilion, providing an intimate setting to experience the sound and photographic displays.
Important Information
Participation in the weekend workshops requires a fee of $100, with a concession rate of $60 available. The performance is free for all community members.

The project is proudly presented by Waverley Council and created by Danielle O’Keefe and The House That Dan Built, featuring compositions by six award-winning female composers.

To participate in the workshops, booking is essential due to limited spots for 100 women. The participant fee is $100, with a concession price of $60.
The final concert is free and open to the public, welcoming families and community members to enjoy the powerful performance.
