Activity Details
The celebration runs from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, 20 February 2026. The main stage program includes performances such as Kung Fu Panda, Chinese Bamboo Flute, Mask Changing, and Korean Percussion. The official opening and Lion Dance will commence at 7:00 PM, followed by the Dragon Dance at 7:55 PM and fireworks at 9:00 PM.
Market stage activities feature Chinese dance, workshops, and live music. Kids rides and cultural workshops like calligraphy and kite painting are available from 4:00 PM until 8:30 PM.
Food and market stalls offer a variety of Asian cuisines and treats, ensuring a feast for all tastes.
Location and Access
The event is held at Nurragingy Reserve, Knox Road, Doonside, NSW 2767. Accessible parking is available onsite with directions provided by traffic staff. The venue features accessible toilets and wheelchair-friendly pathways, though some areas may become muddy in wet weather.
Entry is via Knox Road, and the event site is family-friendly and alcohol-free. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
Important Information
This is an alcohol-free event with security empowered to refuse entry or evict intoxicated persons. Smoking is allowed only in designated areas. Large tents or umbrellas are not permitted in front of the main or market stages.
The event includes loud amplification and fireworks, so it may not be suitable for those sensitive to noise. There is no Auslan interpreter available.
First aid services are provided onsite by St Johns near the kids rides area.
