What to Expect
Immerse yourself in a creative and inspiring acrylic painting workshop focused on capturing the beauty of birds in their natural habitat. Whether you're a beginner or have some painting experience, this session offers a relaxed and welcoming environment to explore your artistic talents.
You will have access to a variety of bird reference images to help guide your artwork, and the friendly group atmosphere encourages creativity and learning.
All painting materials are provided, so you can simply turn up and let your imagination take flight.
Activity Details
This workshop is led by local artist Bethany Neck, who will guide you through the process of painting birds on a small canvas using acrylics. The session is designed to be accessible for all skill levels, making it perfect for parents looking for a creative outlet or a fun activity to share with older children.
The workshop runs for three hours, providing ample time to learn techniques and complete your artwork.
Participants are encouraged to relax and enjoy the process in a supportive community setting.
Location and Access
The workshop takes place at The Summit Community Centre, located at 4 Crescent Dr, Norton Summit SA 5136. Parking is limited on site, so carpooling is recommended. Additional parking is available along Crescent Drive and near Norton Summit Primary School.
The centre is fully accessible, featuring disabled parking, ramps, and toilets. Facilities include a kitchen, baby change table, and a welcoming foyer area.
The venue is inclusive and LGBTQI+ friendly, ensuring a comfortable experience for all attendees.
Important Information
Please note that if an Extreme or Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating is declared for the Mt Lofty Ranges, the community centre will close and the workshop will be cancelled or rescheduled. Monies paid will be reimbursed or transferred to a new date.
Check current fire danger ratings before attending.
If the event is held in the evening, bring a torch or phone light and dress for cooler weather.
Booking and Prices
Tickets cost $20 per person and must be booked online in advance.
All materials are included in the ticket price, making it a great value creative experience.
