This innovative performance features collaboration with neurodiverse musicians from Club Weld and the Australian Chamber Orchestra, creating a rich tapestry of sound inspired by objects from the Powerhouse Collection.
The opera is named after the powerful act of hot starting a car or a museum, symbolizing new beginnings and creative energy. Audiences will be immersed in a sensory experience that challenges traditional artistic boundaries.
Following the performance on the first day, there is an engaging conversation with Justene Williams and ACE Executive Director Anne Loxley about how AI is reshaping creative practice, exploring themes of authorship and cultural value.
This event runs over two days, Thursday 26 November and Friday 27 November 2026, with two sessions starting early at 7:30 am each day. Each session lasts approximately one hour, making it a perfect early morning cultural outing.
The performance features music by a diverse group of composers including Jerrah Patston, Sienna Acquaro, Charbel Nehme, and others, accompanied by the Australian Chamber Orchestra led by Charlie Westhoff.
