What to Expect
Get ready for an exciting and safe axe throwing experience designed especially for young kids aged 5 to 10. Using foam axes and inflatable bullseye targets, children will enjoy traditional target practice and a variety of fun games. This engaging activity includes musical axe throwing, obstacle challenges with hula hoops, tunnels, cones, and balls.
Kids can participate in team games and solo showdowns, competing to claim the ultimate axe throwing title. It’s a fantastic way to keep children active, entertained, and developing hand-eye coordination in a controlled environment.
Activity Details
The event is split into two sessions based on age groups: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM for ages 5 to 7, and 2:15 PM to 3:15 PM for ages 8 to 10. All activities are supervised to ensure safety and fun.
Parents or guardians must remain on site during the session to support their children. Registration is essential, with limited spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. Walk-ins may be accepted if space permits.
Participants are encouraged to communicate any medical or physical considerations during registration to ensure appropriate care and support.

The sessions take place at Lyons Park, located on Victoria Road in West Ryde, NSW 2114. The venue is accessible and suitable for children, with ample space for the various axe throwing games and obstacle challenges.

Registrations are mandatory, and parents must provide any relevant information about their child’s health or special needs. A responsible adult must be present throughout the activity.
The program is free for City of Ryde residents; non-residents may incur a $5 fee. Cancellation of bookings should be done promptly to allow others to attend.
