What to Expect
Come along and join a lively Futsal workshop where children aged 5 to 12 can develop their soccer skills in a fun, fast-paced environment. Futsal is a modified form of soccer played on a smaller, hard court either indoors or outdoors, emphasizing ball control, quick passing, and skillful play.
This workshop is split into two sessions tailored to different age groups: 5-7 years and 8-12 years, ensuring activities match the participants' skill levels. It’s a fantastic opportunity for your child to improve coordination, teamwork, and confidence while having a great time.

Activity Details
The event takes place on Tuesday, 14 July 2026, with two sessions: Session 1 from 13:00 to 14:00 for ages 5-7 years, and Session 2 from 14:00 to 15:00 for ages 8-12 years.
Futsal involves teams of five players, including a goalkeeper, and is played on a smaller court to encourage skill development and fast play. The workshop is designed to cater to different skill levels, with instructors providing guidance and support.
Registrations are essential as spaces are limited and bookings operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Non-residents of City of Ryde may incur a small fee.

The workshop is held at Kings Park, located at 22 Salter Crescent, Denistone East, NSW 2122.
The venue is accessible via paved pathways and is suitable for those using mobility aids, with accessible toilets available on site. Parking can be challenging, so parents are advised to allow extra time to find suitable parking.

Important Information
Parents or guardians must be present on site during the sessions to supervise their children. It is important to communicate any medical, physical, intellectual, social, or emotional issues, including allergies or pre-existing injuries, prior to participation.
Participants may be photographed for promotional purposes by the City of Ryde. Spaces are limited and failure to attend without cancellation may affect future booking privileges.
In case of adverse weather, outdoor activities may be cancelled or relocated indoors if possible, with notifications sent via email or text.
Booking and Prices
Bookings must be made through the Bookable platform, with registration required to secure a spot. Walk-ins may be accepted on the day if space permits but are not guaranteed.
The sessions are free for City of Ryde residents. A $5 fee applies for non-residents. Cancellation of bookings should be done promptly via Bookable to allow others to attend.
Parents are encouraged to have tickets ready for scanning on arrival to streamline check-in.
