Get ready for a delightful morning out with your furry friend at the Howl-O-Ween edition of Walk With Me. This event is perfect for dog owners who want to bond with their pets while learning valuable pet care and socialisation skills. Dress your dog in their spookiest costume and join other local dog lovers for a relaxed, on-leash group walk.
The walk is gentle and suitable for those with reasonable mobility, making it a great way to enjoy fresh air and community spirit. Along the way, you’ll gain insights into dog behaviour, loose lead walking, and responsible pet ownership.
Prizes for the best dressed small and large dogs add an extra layer of fun and excitement to this community event.
The event starts with a short briefing led by experienced animal professionals who will share practical tips on pet education. Topics include understanding canine body language, socialisation techniques, and off-leash etiquette.
The walk lasts about 90 minutes, combining education with a leisurely stroll. It concludes with a Q&A session where you can ask trainers questions and receive helpful take-home information.
This event is free and designed to strengthen the bond between you and your pet while promoting safer, happier dog interactions in the community.
The walk takes place at Paradise Point Parklands, The Esplanade (opposite Nankeen Ave), Paradise Point 4216. Parking may be limited, so consider using public transport, walking, or cycling.
If driving, use the EasyPark app to manage metered parking easily. Remember to check parking regulations during the event.
The parklands offer a scenic and accessible environment for dogs and owners to enjoy the morning together.
To participate, dogs must be on a leash upon arrival, fully vaccinated, in good health with up-to-date flea and worm treatment, and currently registered with the City of Gold Coast, wearing their registration tag.
This group activity encourages positive socialisation but owners should assess their dog's comfort level around other dogs and people.
Free goodie bags will be provided to each family, adding to the fun and educational experience.
This is a free community event, but registration is required to receive a calendar invitation and event updates via email.
Spaces are limited, so early registration is recommended to secure your spot and goodie bag.
