Anna's Walk is a heartfelt community event held in memory of Anna Lynch, a Northern Beaches resident who passed away from bladder cancer at 45. This walk unites patients, survivors, families, health professionals, and community members of all ages to raise awareness and support for bladder cancer.
Join a short, family-friendly 3km walk through the scenic Mona Vale area. The event includes morning tea and a sausage sizzle, providing a relaxed atmosphere for reflection, conversation, and connection with others touched by bladder cancer. Expect a warm, welcoming environment where everyone can share stories and support.
The walk is free to participate in but requires registration. It is suitable for all ages and fitness levels, making it an ideal outing for families. Over 200 participants are expected locally, with more than 700 joining nationwide, creating a strong sense of community and shared purpose.
The event takes place at Mona Vale Surf Life Saving Club, located on Surfview Road, Mona Vale NSW 2103. The venue is accessible and offers ample parking. The walk route is easy and suitable for strollers and wheelchairs, ensuring everyone can join in.
