The Anzac Day Dawn Service and Parade is a solemn and respectful event inviting all RSL Members, Service and Ex-Service Personnel, and community members to commemorate the sacrifices made by Australian and New Zealand soldiers. This meaningful occasion offers families a chance to reflect together and teach children about the importance of remembrance and national pride.
What to Expect
The day begins early with the Dawn Service at 5:30am at the War Memorial on the grounds of Memorial Hall, Carrington Street, Hamilton Hill. Attendees can expect a moving ceremony featuring traditional Anzac Day rituals, speeches, and moments of silence. Later in the morning, the Parade and Service commence at 9:30am, providing a chance to witness the community come together in honour of veterans.

Location and Access
The event is held at the Memorial Hall grounds, easily accessible by car with designated accessible parking and ACROD bays. Accessible toilets and first-aid facilities are available on site. Important Information
Please be aware of road closures on Anzac Day: from 5:30am to 7:00am around the Dawn Service and from 9:30am to 11:30am for the Parade and Service. Roads affected include Rockingham Road, Carrington Street, Frederick Road, Forrest Road, Blackwood Avenue, Winfield Street, Hamilton Road, and Paulik Way.
