Experience a respectful and moving ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Old Parade Ground, Georges Heights. This event offers a chance to honor the sacrifices of Australian servicemen and women with a traditional ceremony including a Catafalque party, wreath laying, and the Act of Remembrance.
The service features the ANZAC Commemorative Address by Army Veteran Rodney ‘Rocket’ Cottam and live music from the Redlands Concert Band, creating a solemn yet uplifting atmosphere.
Following the service, attendees can enjoy breakfast and coffee at Frenchy’s Cafe, located nearby in the Headland Park Artist Precinct, perfect for families to gather and reflect.
The Dawn Service begins promptly at 5:30am and concludes by 6:30am on Saturday 25 April 2026. It is recommended to arrive early to find parking and settle in.
Locals wishing to lay wreaths or tributes should notify the Master of Ceremonies in advance to participate respectfully in the ceremony.
Seating is limited and reserved for veterans who cannot stand. Attendees are encouraged to bring a torch and wear suitable clothing as there is no shelter from the elements.
The service is held at the Old Parade Ground, Best Avenue, Georges Heights at Headland Park, Mosman. The site is accessible by car, bus, ferry, or on foot.
Parking is available at Suakin Drive carparks and Georges Heights Oval, though the oval may be closed in wet weather. Allow extra travel time due to expected heavy traffic.

Please note that if wearing family or descendant medals, they should be worn on the right chest.
There is no shelter at the venue, so dressing warmly and bringing a torch is advisable.
