Experience a compelling and optimistic story about living with autism through the eyes of Adam Kelly and his friend Finbar the fish. This award-winning show blends heartfelt storytelling with humor and animation, offering a unique perspective on connection and understanding.
The performance includes exciting animation by neurodiverse artist Ben Hollingsworth, making it engaging for children and families alike. Adam and Finbar invite audiences to dance, draw, fly, and laugh along in a warm and inclusive environment.
This show is suitable for children in Years 3 to 6 and is presented as a relaxed performance to accommodate sensory sensitivities and provide a comfortable experience for all attendees.
ARCO is a 35-minute show followed by a 15-minute Q&A session, allowing children and parents to engage further with the themes presented. The performance discusses autism gently and humorously, including moments of audience participation and music.
Relaxed performances are scheduled on Tuesday 25 August 2026 at 10:15 and 13:00, and Wednesday 26 August 2026 at 10:30. These performances feature modifications to lighting and sound to create a supportive atmosphere.
Tickets are priced at $25 each, with one free teacher ticket for every 20 students booked. Children aged 0-18 months may sit on an adult’s lap free of charge, but a valid ticket is required for all children over 18 months.
The event takes place at PHIVE, 5 Parramatta Square, a venue that is wheelchair accessible and equipped with assistive hearing systems (FM). Companion Card holders are welcome.
Riverside Theatres provides a relaxed performance environment suitable for patrons with autism and other sensory sensitivities, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive experience for families.
