Join us for a hands-on after school series designed especially for children aged 5 to 10. This engaging program combines traditional literacy skills with creative expression, encouraging young minds to connect with popular children's stories in a fun and interactive way.
Children will listen to and explore stories together, then use mixed materials to create unique artworks inspired by the narratives. Each session ends with a special piece of art for your child to take home and cherish. This is a wonderful opportunity to nurture both reading and artistic skills in a supportive environment.
The event runs for one hour from 16:00 to 17:00 on Thursday, 12 November 2026. It is free to attend but places are limited, so booking is essential. All materials and equipment will be provided. Parents or guardians must remain in the library during the session if their child is aged 12 or under, and contact details must be provided for participants under 16.
The program takes place at the Clive James Library and Service Centre, located in Kogarah Town Square on Belgrave Street, Kogarah. The library is accessible and committed to providing inclusive services. If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact the library in advance.
Please arrive on time as late arrivals may lose their place to those on the standby list.
