What to Expect

Bring your young artists to a fun and creative monthly session at Margaret Martin Library designed especially for children in school years K-6. Each session offers a chance to learn new drawing skills and complete a hands-on craft project, sparking creativity and imagination.

These sessions provide a relaxed, supportive environment where kids can explore their artistic talents while making new friends. Light refreshments like juice poppers, popcorn, and fruit are provided to keep energy levels up.

It's a perfect after-school activity that encourages artistic expression and skill development in a friendly community setting.

Activity Details

The event runs every month on the second Monday from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with sessions continuing until March 9, 2026. Registration is free and only needs to be completed once to attend all sessions.

Places are strictly limited to ensure a quality experience for all participants, and latecomers will not be admitted to maintain smooth session flow. Children in K-2 require parental supervision, while those in years 3-6 may be assisted by parents or carers who are invited to stay.

This event is exclusive to library members, but membership is free and easy to obtain online or at any Randwick library branch.

Location and Access

Sessions take place at Margaret Martin Library, located on Level 1 of the Royal Randwick Shopping Centre, Belmore Road, Randwick.

The venue is committed to accessibility and inclusivity. If your child has any access requirements, the library team encourages you to contact them in advance to ensure full support during the event.

Arriving 10 minutes early is recommended to allow for a timely start, and late arrivals cannot be admitted for safety and enjoyment reasons.

Important Information

This event is designed specifically for children in school years K-6. Parental supervision is mandatory for younger children (K-2), and sign-in/out procedures apply for older children.

Bookings are managed through Eventbrite, an external platform. Attendees should review Randwick City Library's Covid Safe Terms and Conditions before attending, as these may change.

Photographs or videos may be taken during the sessions for promotional use by Randwick City Council. If you prefer your child’s image not be used, please notify staff before the event.

Booking and Prices

The event is free to attend, but places are limited and require prior registration through Eventbrite. You only need to register once to attend all monthly sessions.

Bookings open on Friday, 23 January 2026 at 9:30 AM. If you cannot attend, please cancel your ticket promptly to allow others to participate.
