What to Expect
Art Together offers a vibrant and playful environment where toddlers aged 1 to 4 years and their carers can explore creativity together. Led by local artist Thao La, each session encourages emotional connection, confidence, and imaginative expression through hands-on activities.
This term-based program runs weekly for eight weeks, providing a structured yet flexible approach to early childhood art experiences. Parents and carers stay on-site to support and share in the creative journey.

Activity Details
The program runs every Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, starting 29 April and concluding 17 June 2026. Each week focuses on a unique theme:
- Week 1: Colours & Shapes – recognition and early visual language
- Week 2: Drawing & Mark Making – movement and self-expression
- Week 3: Stamping & Printing – texture and cause-effect
- Week 4: Vietnamese Folk Art – cultural storytelling and pattern
- Week 5: Mosaic & Pattern – fine motor skills and pattern recognition
- Week 6: Me, You & Family – identity and emotions
- Week 7: Painting Exploration – colour mixing and freedom
- Week 8: Group Artwork & Celebration – collaboration and reflection
This variety ensures a rich sensory and educational experience for toddlers.
Location and Access
Sessions are held at Fairfield City Museum & Gallery, located at 634 The Horsley Drive, Smithfield, NSW 2164. Entry is via Oxford Street.
The venue is accessible and family-friendly, with opening hours from 10 AM to 4 PM Tuesday to Friday and 10 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays. Parking and public transport options are available nearby.
The museum setting adds an inspiring cultural backdrop to the creative play.
Important Information
Parents or guardians must remain on-site during all workshops to support their children. Photography and recording may occur for promotional purposes; attendees can notify staff if they do not consent.
