Step inside an exciting new residency project that invites you to experience art in unexpected ways.
What to Expect
Artist in Residence Renee Kire transforms the Museum of Brisbane’s entryway with vibrant vinyl graphics and sculptural timber elements. This immersive pathway stretches across walls and ceilings, guiding visitors into the heart of the Museum. The artwork is bright, colourful, and welcoming for all ages, combining joyful aesthetics with thought-provoking themes.
Drawing inspiration from Minimalism and reinterpreting it through a contemporary feminist lens, Kire highlights the often-overlooked contributions of women in art. Visitors will find repetition, rhythm, and thoughtful details that encourage slowing down and discovering new perspectives.
