This guided walk offers a unique opportunity to learn about the suburb’s housing, sporting facilities, schools, and notable local landmarks like the Ashfield Tavern. It’s a perfect outing for families and history enthusiasts alike.
The walk will take place on Monday, 23rd November 2026, from 10:00 to 12:00. Participants will meet at Ashfield Reserve, just off Colstoun Road, opposite the IGA. This is an all-ages event, but children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Please note that pets are not allowed.
The meeting point is Ashfield Reserve, located at 4 Colstoun Road, Bassendean. The walk will proceed along footpaths near traffic, so participants are advised to stay alert and avoid walking on the road. Comfortable walking shoes, a hat, and SunSmart clothing are recommended to ensure a pleasant experience.
Please bring a water bottle and ensure you have eaten a good meal beforehand to maintain energy throughout the walk. Sunscreen, insect repellent, and first aid supplies will be available if needed. Remember to cancel your booking if you cannot attend to allow others on the waitlist to join.
