What to Expect
Step into the world of Auslan with the Thrive 3 program, tailored for those who already have basic to intermediate skills. This advanced course offers a deeper dive into the language, helping you build a richer, more connected understanding of Auslan.
Each week, you'll engage in hands-on workshops that explore the structure and meaning behind signs, movements, and non-manual features. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your confidence and fluency in a supportive community setting.
Whether you're passionate about Deaf culture or looking to enhance your communication skills, this program will guide you through authentic language observation and practical activities.
Activity Details
The program runs weekly on Saturdays from August 3 to October 3, 2026, with sessions from 10:00 to 12:00. There are nine two-hour sessions in total, each building progressively on the previous one.
Designed for participants aged 16 and above, this course is perfect for adults and youth eager to thrive in their Auslan journey. Please book one ticket per attendee as spaces are limited.
Photography and videography may occur during sessions for promotional use by the City of Swan and event organizers.

All sessions take place at Beechboro Library, located at 332 Benara Rd, Beechboro WA 6063. The library is accessible by public transport and offers a welcoming environment for learners.
The venue is suitable for adults and youth, providing a comfortable space for interactive learning and community engagement.

This is a free program, but booking is essential due to limited spaces. The course is hands-on and requires active participation.
