This delightful monthly event invites children aged 0 to 5 years and their parents or carers to enjoy rhymes, songs, stories, and music all in Spanish. It’s a wonderful opportunity to introduce your little ones to a new language in a fun and engaging way, fostering early literacy and cultural appreciation.
The sessions are lively and interactive, designed to captivate young children’s attention while encouraging participation. Everyone is welcome, whether you speak Spanish or are simply curious about the language and culture.
Each session runs for 30 minutes, starting promptly at 10:45 AM. The program occurs every second Friday of the month until December 11, 2026. You must book each session you wish to attend as spaces are limited and popular.
The event is free of charge, but bookings are essential and must be made online through Eventbrite. Please note that all children must be supervised by a parent or carer during the session.
The sessions take place at Lionel Bowen Library, located at 669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra. The library is committed to accessibility and inclusivity; if you have any specific access requirements, you can contact the library to arrange support.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow time for check-in and to ensure the session starts on time. Due to limited space, it is recommended to leave prams at home if possible.
Library membership is required to attend but is free and can be obtained online or at any branch. If you cannot attend after booking, please cancel your ticket promptly to allow others to participate.
Late arrivals cannot be admitted once the session has started to maintain the safety and enjoyment of all participants. The event follows Covid-safe measures and terms and conditions that may be updated; please review these before attending.
