Bring your little one to a warm and welcoming session filled with rhymes, songs, and stories designed especially for babies aged 0-12 months. This program nurtures early literacy skills and fosters a love of books from the very beginning.
Each session is lively and interactive, perfect for engaging your baby’s senses and encouraging early communication skills. It’s a wonderful opportunity for parents to connect with other families and share the joys of reading.
The sessions are held every Friday, excluding school and public holidays, ensuring a consistent routine for your baby’s development.
Babies Love Books runs weekly on Fridays from 10:00 to 10:30 AM at the Margaret Martin Library. The program is free, but bookings are essential and open one week in advance.
Please note there is a limit of one session per child per week across all Randwick library branches, and places are strictly limited to ensure a quality experience for all attendees.
Latecomers cannot be admitted to maintain the flow and enjoyment of the session. Prams are discouraged due to limited space.
The sessions take place at Margaret Martin Library, located on Level 1 of the Royal Randwick Shopping Centre on Belmore Road, Randwick.
Randwick City Library is committed to accessibility and inclusivity. If you have any access requirements, please contact the library in advance to arrange support.
The venue is easily accessible by public transport and offers a welcoming environment for families with young children.
The program does not run on the following dates: 3 April, 10 April, 17 April, 10 July, 17 July, 28 August (Book Week special), 2 October, 9 October, and 18 December.
Only children and their siblings attending the activity need to be booked in, and all children must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
Membership to Randwick City Library is required but free and can be completed online or at any branch.
Please arrive 10 minutes early and cancel your booking if you cannot attend to allow others to participate.
This event is free of charge. Bookings are essential and must be made through Eventbrite, with links available on the Randwick City Library website.
Bookings open one week before each session and fill quickly, so early booking is recommended.
