Baby Play offers a welcoming and relaxed environment where new parents and their little ones can enjoy quality playtime together. These sessions are specially designed to support your baby's cognitive, physical, and emotional growth through engaging and fun activities. The program also includes a much-loved Rhyme Time to help strengthen those precious parent-child connections.
At Baby Play, you can expect a warm, friendly atmosphere where your baby can explore and learn through play. Each session encourages interaction that fosters attachment and development, making it a wonderful opportunity for both parent and child to bond. The sessions are suitable for babies up to 18 months old and are drop-in style, so no registration is required.
Sessions run twice on Mondays at Huntingdale Community Centre and Wednesdays at Richard Rushton Community Centre in Gosnells. Each day offers two one-hour sessions: 9:30 to 10:30 and 10:30 to 11:30. The program does not operate on Western Australian public holidays, and sessions during school holidays are listed in the Children’s School Holiday Program Flyer.
Baby Play sessions are held at two convenient community centres: Huntingdale Community Centre and Richard Rushton Community Centre in Gosnells. Both venues are accessible and welcoming, providing a safe space for families to gather and enjoy the activities. Detailed address information is available by clicking on the location names on the City of Gosnells website.
Health and safety are priorities; hand sanitiser is available at each session, and participants are asked not to attend if unwell. There may be limits on the number of participants to ensure everyone’s wellbeing. For any last-minute changes or cancellations, families are encouraged to follow the City of Gosnells Children and Families Facebook page for updates.
Baby Play is a free program with no bookings required, making it easy for busy parents to drop in whenever it suits. This accessibility ensures that all families can benefit from the nurturing and developmental opportunities the sessions provide.
