What to Expect

Welcome to Babytime at Civic Library, a delightful weekly gathering designed especially for babies aged 0 to 1 year and their families. This free, interactive session encourages early communication and development through songs, rhymes, and playful activities. It's a wonderful opportunity to bond with your baby while meeting other families in a warm, welcoming environment.

During each 30-minute session, you and your little one will engage in fun actions and rhymes that nurture language skills and social interaction. The program is tailored for non-walkers, making it perfect for your baby's early months.

Activity Details

Babytime sessions are held every Thursday from 11:00 to 11:30 AM during the school term, starting on February 12, 2026, and running until April 10, 2026. No bookings are necessary, so you can drop in whenever it suits your schedule.

The program is free of charge and open to all families with babies aged 0 to 1 year. It’s an ideal way to introduce your child to the joys of reading and early literacy in a relaxed setting.

The sessions take place at Civic Library, located at 72 Woodville Road, Woodville SA 5011. The library is easily accessible by public transport and offers parking nearby.

Feel free to arrive a little early to explore the library’s children’s collection or stay afterward to borrow books and resources to continue the fun at home.

Important Information

This program is designed for babies who are not yet walking, focusing on nurturing early development through interactive play and songs. Parents and carers are encouraged to participate actively to maximize the benefits.

Please note that while bookings are not required, arriving early is recommended to secure a spot, as sessions can be popular.
