Activity Details
The public art program features a variety of installations including permanent sculptures, murals, and temporary artworks in surprising locations. Highlights include the Homefront art installation with carved cypress sculptures, the Street Art Mural project commissioned by Banyule Youth Services, and the Community leaves installation in Were Street Reserve.
Over the next decade, 19 public toilets across the municipality will be refurbished with site-specific murals created by commissioned artists, adding a creative touch to everyday spaces. The urban light boxes provide continuous art exhibitions that contribute to the revitalization of neighborhood shopping areas.
