Discover the exciting world of coffee making with our Barista for Beginners workshop, designed especially for young people aged 14-24. Whether you're dreaming of a job in hospitality or just curious about crafting the perfect cup, this hands-on workshop is the perfect start. Join us in Kilmore for a fun and practical introduction to barista skills.
In this engaging workshop, you'll learn the fundamentals of making great coffee from an experienced barista trainer. Expect to get hands-on experience with commercial espresso machines, mastering milk texturing, espresso extraction, and preparing a variety of café-style drinks. Small groups of six participants ensure you receive plenty of individual support and practice.
The workshop is tailored for beginners aged 14-24 who live, work, or play in Mitchell Shire. It runs over two days with sessions from 10:00 to 16:00. This is a free program delivered by Youth Fest Mitchell Youth Services as part of a month-long celebration recognizing young people's contributions across Victoria.
The sessions take place at the Kilmore Customer and Library Service Centre, located at 12 Sydney Street, Kilmore VIC. The venue is accessible and centrally located, making it easy to reach by public transport or car. Parking and local amenities are available nearby.
Please note that places are limited to six participants per session to ensure quality training and individual attention. This workshop is specifically for young people aged 14-24. Participants should book their spot in advance using the Prace online form. The event is part of Youth Fest, celebrating youth achievements and community involvement.
