After a sold-out launch, Beats to Draw 2 returns with an expanded format blending live acoustic music and uninstructed life drawing. Attendees can immerse themselves in a creative atmosphere where music, model, and lighting cues synchronize to inspire dynamic artistic expression. This event welcomes artists of all levels, from seasoned professionals to enthusiastic amateurs.
Enjoy live performances by Naarm’s local legends Benjamin Trillado, Tea for Three, and myhoa, creating a harmonious backdrop for your drawing experience. The event culminates with an hour to mingle, debrief, and relax with light snacks provided and drinks available for purchase.
Presented by South By South East Asian (SXSEA) and Multicultural Arts Victoria (MAV) as part of the Newprint 4 program, this event is supported by Creative Victoria and Creative Australia and sponsored by CDW Studios.
The event runs for four hours, starting with three hours of drawing and live music performances, followed by an hour dedicated to socializing and reflection. The drawing sessions feature costumed life drawing with no formal instruction, encouraging personal artistic exploration.
