What to Expect
This beginner-friendly sewing series invites you to explore the fundamentals of sewing in a relaxed, hands-on environment. Over four sessions, you will gain confidence using a sewing machine and learn essential skills to craft a practical tote bag.
The workshop encourages creativity and sustainability by inviting participants to bring recycled or upcycled fabrics. Whether you bring your own sewing machine or use one provided, no prior experience is needed.
Ideal for adults looking to start a new hobby or refine basic sewing skills, this series promises a supportive and engaging experience.
Activity Details
Across four monthly sessions, you will be guided through:
- Setting up and operating a sewing machine
- Basic sewing techniques and fabric construction
- Adding pockets and other functional features
- Creating handles and finishing touches for a polished look
Please bring a towel, tablecloth, tea towel, or sturdy fabric to begin your project. Attendance at all sessions is required to complete the tote bag.
