What to Expect
Experience a vibrant collection of video works by Pacific Islander artists that challenge and reimagine identity across oceans, histories, and generations. This exhibition celebrates Pacific heritage through a rich network of stories about place, memory, lineage, and belonging. Visitors will be immersed in distinct voices that reflect the strength and diversity of Pacific Islander creative expression today.
The exhibition features works by Morgan Hogg, Sione Monu, Emily Greenwood, and Edith Amituanai, curated by interdisciplinary artist Salote Tawale. Alongside, explore Tawale's solo exhibition "The Tide Continues," inspired by her residency research on Lake Macquarie’s waterways and cultural intersections.
This program offers a unique opportunity for families to engage with evolving narratives that connect Pacific peoples, making it an enriching cultural experience for parents and school-aged children alike.
