What to Expect
Celebrate the vibrant cultures and languages of our community during Harmony Week with engaging bilingual story time sessions designed especially for young children aged 3 to 5 years. Each session introduces a new language through playful storytelling and interactive activities that captivate little learners and their families.
These sessions are perfect for parents looking to expose their children to new sounds, words, and cultural experiences in a warm and welcoming environment. Expect a joyful atmosphere where children can explore languages like French, Japanese, German, and Urdu while making new friends.

Activity Details
- French session: March 17, 2026, 11:00–11:30 at Thornlie Library
- Japanese session: March 20, 2026, 09:30–10:00 at Amherst Village Library
- German session: March 21, 2026, 11:00–11:30 at Mills Park Library
- Urdu session: March 25, 2026, 10:30–11:00 at Gosnells Library
No bookings are required; however, space is limited and places are allocated via a token system on a first-come, first-served basis. Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
This program is free and ideal for families seeking a culturally enriching experience for their preschool children.
Location and Access
Sessions take place at four different libraries within the City of Gosnells:
- Thornlie Library, 1 Culross Avenue, Thornlie
- Amherst Village Library, 2 Holmes Street, Southern River
- Mills Park Library, 86 Brixton Street, Beckenham
- Gosnells Library, 2232 Albany Highway, Gosnells
All venues are accessible by public transport and have facilities suitable for young children and their families. Parking is available at each location.
Please arrive early to collect a token for entry as spaces are limited.
Important Information
Children aged 12 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout the session.
The sessions are designed for children aged 3 to 5 years to ensure age-appropriate engagement and enjoyment.
