Step into the world of traditional blacksmithing and experience hands-on learning in a custom-built workshop. This beginner-friendly class guides you through creating your own set of essential blacksmithing tools, including a cold chisel, hot cutter, round punch, centre punch, and tongs. You will gain practical skills such as operating a forge and using an anvil, perfect for those curious about this ancient craft.
The workshop is suitable for participants aged 16 and over, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for adults and older teens. Spectators are welcome, so family members can come along to watch the magic happen.
This is a unique opportunity to learn from Terry Drennan, an Australian champion blacksmith with over 20 years of teaching experience. His passion for both the functional and decorative aspects of blacksmithing shines through in every session.
