Step into the world of traditional blacksmithing with Australian Champion Blacksmith Terry Drennan. This two-day workshop offers a hands-on experience where you will craft a functional and decorative boot scraper, extending your blacksmithing skills in a supportive environment.
The workshop is designed for those aged 16 and over who have completed the advanced blacksmithing course, ensuring you have the foundational skills to succeed. Expect a blend of practical instruction and creative freedom as you work in a custom-built blacksmith shop.
Spectators are welcome, so family members can enjoy watching the craft come to life while you learn.
This workshop runs over two full days, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday 25 July and Sunday 26 July 2026. You will be guided step-by-step by Terry Drennan, whose extensive experience includes award-winning blacksmithing and farriery.
Participants will need to wear closed-in boots or steel-capped shoes, long trousers, and long sleeves for safety. The class size is limited to ensure personalized assistance and a quality learning experience.
