Bluey’s Big Play brings the cheeky, heartwarming world of Bluey to life in a 50-minute stage show perfect for families. This live theatre experience blends puppetry, original music and playful storytelling to delight children and give parents a memorable outing at the Sydney Opera House. It’s a joyful, high-energy celebration of imagination, ideal for school-aged kids and little siblings.
What to Expect
Expect colourful puppets, upbeat music and light-hearted storytelling that mirrors the beloved TV episodes. The production features new music by Joff Bush and an original story by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, so families familiar with the show will recognise the spirit and humour immediately.
The performance is designed to be accessible and family-friendly, with a relaxed performance and an audio-described / Auslan-interpreted session available on specific dates. Parents can anticipate interactive moments such as the playful "Keepy Uppy" ball game and bubbles after the curtain call, so bring a sense of fun and preparedness for boisterous, child-led joy.
You’ll leave with happy kids and great photos, having experienced live theatre, puppetry and music that celebrates family life. The show is perfect for parents seeking a short, engaging performance that keeps young attention spans in mind and delivers a big theatrical experience for little people.
