Children will hear funny tales from Charlotte’s childhood and explore books like All Bodies are Good Bodies and From My Head to My Toes. It’s a fun, fast-paced experience perfect for sparking creativity in young learners.
This online event runs for 30 minutes and is suitable for Kindergarten to Year 2 students (ages 5-8), though all are welcome to join. Participants will need paper and pens or pencils to take part in the drawing and writing activities.
The session is held on Zoom, and attendees will receive the link upon registration. It’s a great opportunity for children to engage with a professional author and enjoy a creative learning experience from home.

Charlotte Barkla is an award-nominated Brisbane-based author whose books have been translated into multiple languages. Her work has been recognized by Speech Pathology Australia and the Wilderness Society.
In 2023, her book All Bodies are Good Bodies was adapted into a song by the children’s band The Quokkas, adding to the creative richness of this event.
