Step into the imaginative world of Freya Blackwood, a multi-award-winning author and illustrator, in this special online Book Week event designed for Levels 2–4 students. Discover the stories behind her beautiful illustrations and learn what sparks her creativity. This session offers a unique opportunity for children to engage with storytelling through pictures.
Students will participate in hands-on drawing activities that encourage creative expression and imagination. The event concludes with a live Q&A session where children can ask Freya their own questions, making it an interactive and inspiring experience.
This free, one-hour live program will be delivered online via Webex. Students will need four sheets of A4 plain drawing paper, a grey lead pencil, and colour pencils to participate fully. The session focuses on learning how writers and illustrators tell stories and experimenting with using pictures to communicate narratives.
The event runs from 9:30 to 10:30 in the morning, providing a perfect educational activity during Book Week. Booking is required to secure a spot.
