Dive into the enchanting world of Sandhya Parappukkaran’s picture book "Words That Taste Like Home" as she reads aloud and explores the beautiful connection between language, culture, and family. This interactive session invites children to reflect on what 'home' means to them through a creative art activity.
Children will be guided to create their own artwork celebrating their personal sense of home, making this a heartwarming and engaging experience for young minds.
Perfect for children aged 5-8 (Kindergarten to Year 2), this workshop is welcoming to all ages and offers a unique blend of storytelling and creativity.
This is a free online workshop held via Zoom, lasting 30 minutes from 10:00 to 10:30 AM on Monday, 24 August 2026. Participants will need A4 white paper or a printed activity sheet available from the library’s event page, along with colouring pencils or crayons.
