Step into a world of imagination and fun with your little ones at Budding Bookworms. This delightful event is perfect for preschool-aged children (3-5 years) who love stories, music, and creative activities. Expect engaging storytelling sessions filled with sing-alongs, rhymes, wiggly dances, and crafts that will keep your child entertained and inspired.
The event is hosted by passionate Garden volunteers in partnership with Wollongong City Libraries, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s a wonderful opportunity for parents to bond with their children while fostering a love of books and creativity.
Held every Friday near the Garden's Japanese Tea House, west of the Rose Garden, the sessions start promptly at 10:00 am and run for about 45 minutes. No bookings are required, making it easy to drop in and enjoy whenever your schedule allows.
The activities are designed to be interactive and inclusive, encouraging children to participate actively. Whether it’s dancing along to rhymes or creating simple crafts, your child will leave with a smile and new memories.
The event takes place at Wollongong Botanic Garden, located at 40 Murphys Avenue, Keiraville. The Garden is open daily from 7 am to 5 pm, providing ample time to explore before or after the session.
