The event is free and welcoming, presented by dedicated Garden volunteers in partnership with Wollongong City Libraries.
The event runs every Friday starting at 10:00 AM and lasts approximately 45 minutes, making it an ideal morning outing for young children aged 3 to 5 years.
Activities include interactive storytelling, music, movement, and hands-on crafts that encourage creativity and social interaction.
No bookings are required, so you can drop in spontaneously and enjoy a relaxed, fun-filled morning.
Budding Bookworms takes place at Wollongong Botanic Garden, located at 40 Murphys Avenue, Keiraville, near the Japanese Tea House west of the Rose Garden.
The garden is accessible with facilities to accommodate families and young children, providing a safe and welcoming environment.
In case of bad weather, activities may be moved to the Towri Centre deck or cancelled, with updates posted on the Wollongong Botanic Garden Facebook page.
