Step into a world of magic and fun with your little ones at Budding Bookworms. This delightful event is designed especially for preschool aged children (3-5 years) and promises stories, sing-alongs, rhymes, wiggly dances, and creative crafts. It's a wonderful way to spark your child's imagination and love for books in a beautiful garden setting.
The sessions are lively and interactive, ensuring smiles and laughter all around. Whether your child loves to listen, dance, or create, there’s something here to captivate their attention and encourage early literacy skills.
Held on Fridays near the Garden's Japanese Tea House, just west of the Rose Garden, the event starts promptly at 10:00 am and runs for 45 minutes. It’s a relaxed and welcoming environment where parents and children can enjoy quality time together.
This activity is free of charge and presented by dedicated Garden volunteers in partnership with Wollongong City Libraries. No bookings are required, making it easy to drop in and join the fun.
The event takes place at Wollongong Botanic Garden, located at 40 Murphys Avenue, Keiraville. The Garden is open daily with ample parking and accessible paths, making it convenient for families with young children.
In case of bad weather, the event may be relocated to the Towri Centre deck or cancelled. Updates and cancellation messages will be posted on the Wollongong Botanic Garden Facebook page.
This event is ideal for families with preschoolers aged 3 to 5 years. It encourages early childhood development through storytelling and creative play.
