Come along to Bush Kindy, where little adventurers can learn and grow through nature-based experiences! Each session features fun, hands-on activities that encourage curiosity and confidence. Children can enjoy guided bush walks, wildlife spotting, and learning about different habitats. Little adventurers can also explore the trees and make crafts using rocks, leaves, and other natural materials. All in a fun, supportive environment.
Bush Kindy offers a wonderful opportunity for children aged 2 to 6 to connect with nature in a safe and engaging way. Expect to participate in guided bush walks, wildlife spotting, and creative craft activities using natural materials. The sessions are designed to foster curiosity, confidence, and a love of the outdoors.
Sessions are held monthly at Kumbartcho Sanctuary, CREEC, and Osprey House. Activities are pram-accessible for younger children, and parents or carers must supervise their children at all times. Please arrive 10 minutes before the session starts and come prepared with sun-safe clothing, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, comfortable closed-toe shoes, water, and snacks.
The Bush Kindy sessions take place at three locations within Moreton Bay:

All locations are accessible and suitable for families with young children.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, please remember to supervise your children at all times. Bring appropriate sun protection and insect repellent, and wear suitable clothing and footwear. Sessions are pram-accessible, making it easy for families with infants to participate.
Bush Kindy sessions are free of charge. No bookings are required for Kumbartcho Sanctuary sessions. Bookings are available for CREEC and Osprey House sessions. For more information or to book, please contact Environmental Services via email.
