This engaging outdoor experience encourages kids to build confidence and respect for the environment through interactive bushwalks, exploration, story-time, and creative art and craft activities. Each session lasts about 45 minutes and offers a fresh theme weekly to keep your child curious and excited.
Bush Kindy sessions require children to be accompanied by an adult, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Activities include guided nature walks, hands-on craft projects, and storytelling that connect children with the natural world. The program runs rain or shine, so dress accordingly for light weather conditions. Places are limited to maintain quality interaction, with a maximum of five tickets per booking and a ratio of one adult per four children.
The event takes place at Karawatha Forest Park and Discovery Centre, located at 149 Acacia Road, Karawatha. This peaceful park setting provides the perfect backdrop for young children to explore and learn about nature. Arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the centre. The venue is a park, so comfortable walking shoes and sun-safe clothing are recommended.
All children must be directly supervised by an adult throughout the session. Please wear a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and fully enclosed walking shoes—no thongs or open footwear allowed. Old clothes are suggested for messy play, and you may want to bring water and a snack as there are no food outlets on site. Tickets are required for all adults and children, including infants. Late arrivals may forfeit their tickets to accommodate others. Sessions may be cancelled due to weather or environmental conditions.
