Step into the enchanting world of Bush Kindy where your little ones will enjoy a lively book reading by guest author Steve Baines, featuring his delightful book 'Rarer than Rocking Horse Poo'. This session is designed for children aged 3-5 years and their parents or carers to connect with nature and each other.
Children will be immersed in the natural surroundings of Downfall Creek Bushland Centre, engaging in bushwalks, exploration, story-time, and creative art and craft activities. Each session lasts about 45 minutes and is suitable even in light rain, making it a wonderful outdoor adventure regardless of the weather.
This is a perfect opportunity to nurture your child's confidence in nature and foster a deep respect for the environment in a fun, supportive setting.
The Bush Kindy session includes a mix of storytelling, nature exploration, and hands-on creative activities tailored to preschoolers. The event encourages children to wear old clothes suitable for messy play and bring essentials like water and snacks since there are no food outlets on site.
Parents and carers are required to accompany and supervise their children closely throughout the session. A ratio of one adult per four children is maintained to ensure safety and engagement.
Please arrive 10 minutes early for registration. The event will proceed in light rain but may be cancelled due to severe weather or environmental conditions.
