Take a relaxing break from your busy caregiving routine with the Carers Craft & Connect Group. This friendly gathering offers a warm environment where carers can enjoy a cuppa and share social connection with peers who understand their journey.
Bring along your favourite craft, whether it's knitting, crocheting, diamond dot art, or any other creative pastime. This is your time to unwind, create, and connect with others who appreciate the value of 'me time'.
The group is facilitated by Sheila, a lived experience Peer Facilitator, ensuring a supportive and understanding atmosphere.
The group meets fortnightly for six sessions, each lasting 1.5 hours from 12:00 to 13:30 on Thursdays. The upcoming dates are 24 September, 8 October, 22 October, 5 November, and 19 November 2026.
Participation is open to residents of South West Queensland who are registered with Carer Gateway. Assistance with registration is available if needed.
This is a relaxed, drop-in style group where you can bring your own craft materials and enjoy the company of others.
