Participants can expect a relaxed and supportive atmosphere where personal achievement is celebrated, regardless of speed or experience.
The parkrun is a timed 5-kilometre run, walk, or jog held weekly on Saturdays starting at 07:00. It is free to enter and open to all ages and abilities. Newcomers are encouraged to pre-register online to receive a barcode for timing purposes, but no booking is required to attend.
Volunteering opportunities are available for those who want to support the event without running. Volunteers help with course marshaling, timing, and other essential roles that keep the event running smoothly.
The event runs until 19 December 2026, providing plenty of opportunities to join in throughout the year.
The event takes place at Mackay Sports Ground within Centennial Park, located on Grand Drive, Sydney, NSW 2021. Centennial Park is easily accessible by public transport and offers ample parking for those driving.
