The Preschool Field Officer (PSFO) program offers targeted, time-limited support to Victorian government-funded kindergartens. Educators will receive practical advice, resources, and referral pathways to enhance their programming and planning. The program respects and builds upon the expertise of early childhood educators, promoting collaboration with families and other services.

The program is coordinated by Darebin City Council, located at 274 Gower Street, Preston, VIC 3072. Services are available Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 16:30. Support is provided both onsite at kindergartens and remotely to accommodate various needs.
This program is funded by The Department of Education and is designed to build capacity within kindergarten services. It is a targeted service aimed at enhancing inclusion, access, and learning development for children with diverse learning needs. Referrals can be made online to connect children with a Preschool Field Officer.
