Discover the power of secure relationships in your family with the Circle of Security program. This engaging and supportive course helps parents and carers understand their child's emotional needs and how to respond with confidence and care. You'll learn practical skills to nurture your child's self-esteem and emotional well-being.
The program is designed for parents, carers, and family members of children aged 0-12 years, offering a welcoming space to explore your parenting journey. Whether your child has unique needs or typical development, this program adapts to support your family's individual circumstances.
Expect a warm, interactive online environment where you can connect with other families and a trained facilitator who understands the joys and challenges of parenting.
This program runs weekly over eight sessions, each lasting two hours. Sessions are held every Wednesday from 10:00 to 12:00 AEDT, starting on 2026-02-11 and concluding on 2026-04-01. Attendance at all sessions is required to gain the most benefit and to receive a certificate of completion.
The course is delivered online via Zoom, making it accessible from anywhere in Australia. You will receive instructions and support to join the sessions smoothly. The facilitator, Melo Kalemkeridis, is a trained peer worker and parent, bringing personal experience and professional expertise.
Please note that this program is free of charge, funded by the NSW Department of Education Start Strong Pathways program. A minimum of four families is needed for the sessions to run.
Join this program from the comfort of your home or any location with internet access. The sessions are conducted via Zoom, an easy-to-use video conferencing platform.
Detailed joining instructions will be emailed to you closer to the event date. If you require any accessibility support, please inform the organisers when you register to ensure your needs are met.
This online format allows families across Australia to participate without travel, making it convenient for busy parents juggling multiple commitments.
This program is not disability-specific but is adaptable to support children with diverse needs. Families are encouraged to enrol in one course per term to allow personalised attention and goal setting.
To receive a certificate of attendance, participants must have their cameras on during all sessions to confirm engagement. Professionals are not accommodated in this program at this time.
If the course is full, you can express interest in future sessions to be contacted when new dates become available.
Participation is free, but RSVP is essential to secure your place. Only one ticket per family is required, even if multiple family members join from the same screen.
Bookings are confirmed once a minimum of four families have registered. Early registration is recommended to avoid missing out.
