What to Expect
Immerse yourself in a unique sensory walk that engages all your senses—sight, sound, smell, touch, movement, and mind. This interactive session invites you to mindfully explore the local Brunswick environment, fostering a deeper connection with your surroundings.
You will be guided through a two-hour walk designed to awaken your awareness and appreciation of the community and nature around you. This is a perfect opportunity for parents and children to enjoy a calm, educational outing together.
The walk encourages participants to slow down and notice the often-overlooked details in everyday life, making it a refreshing break from the usual hustle and bustle.
Activity Details
The session lasts for two hours, starting at 16:00 and concluding at 18:00 on Wednesday, 30 September 2026. The walk begins and ends at the Union Street entrance to the RMIT Campus, located next to the rail line in Brunswick.
Participants are advised to wear comfortable walking shoes and suitable clothing. Bringing an umbrella and water bottle is recommended to stay comfortable throughout the walk.
This event is free of charge and part of the Circular Campus to Community Project, a collaboration between RMIT and Merri-Bek City Council focusing on circular economy themes such as regeneration, repair, recycling, redesign, and rethinking.
Location and Access
The sensory walk takes place in Brunswick, starting at the Union Street entrance to the RMIT Campus near the rail line. This location is accessible and easy to find, making it convenient for families to attend.
Brunswick is well-served by public transport, and there is ample space to gather before and after the walk.
The event is held on Woi-wurrung Country, and the organizers acknowledge the Traditional custodians of the land, respecting their enduring connection to the area.

Please ensure you come prepared with comfortable footwear and weather-appropriate clothing to enjoy the walk fully.
