What to Expect
Discover a fantastic opportunity to enhance your garden with a wide variety of native plants at affordable prices. This event is perfect for families looking to create beautiful, waterwise, and low-maintenance gardens that support local biodiversity. The sale features thousands of native plants including ground covers, shrubs, climbers, and small trees.
The sale is designed to be a smooth and enjoyable experience with three separate sessions to manage crowds and restock plants. A coffee van will be onsite, so bring your keep cup and enjoy a warm drink while you shop.
You will also receive expert advice from horticulturists available to help you select the best plants for your garden and provide useful planting tips.
Activity Details
The Native Plant Sale is exclusively for City of Vincent residents, who must register for one of three free sessions: 8:00-9:00, 10:00-11:00, or 12:00-13:00 on Saturday, 23 May 2026. Each household can purchase up to 30 plants and must bring their registration and proof of address.
Participants are encouraged to bring a box or small trolley to carry their plants and will receive one free bag of FOGO compost per household to help nourish their new plants. The compost is a sustainable product made from local food and garden waste.
Residents who have recently joined the Adopt A Verge Program can redeem 20 free plants at the sale, supporting the City’s waterwise community goals.
Location and Access
The event takes place at Birdwood Square, 301 Beaufort Street, Perth. Entry to the sale is via Beaufort and Brisbane Street and Baker Avenue. Parking is available on Baker Avenue and at the City of Vincent Brisbane Street Carpark, with free parking for attendees during the event.
Birdwood Square is easily accessible and provides a welcoming community space to explore and shop for native plants.
Important Information
Registration is mandatory and limited to one ticket per household. Only City of Vincent residents may participate, with ID checks on entry. The sale is a one-day-only event in 2026.
There is a maximum purchase limit of 30 plants per household to ensure fair access for all attendees. The event promotes sustainable gardening practices and supports local biodiversity corridors.
Please bring your own containers or trolleys for transporting plants safely. The City’s Waste and Recycling team will be available to answer questions about composting and waste sorting.
Booking and Prices
Registration opens on Thursday, 23 April 2026 at 17:00. The event is free to attend, but registration is required to secure your session. Plants are available from $1 each, making it an affordable way to green your garden.
The sale is exclusively for City of Vincent residents, so be sure to register early to avoid disappointment. Each household can purchase up to 30 plants during their allocated session.
