Dive into the circular economy by bringing 2-5 freshly laundered, high-quality women's clothing items to swap. This is a fantastic opportunity to refresh your wardrobe sustainably while connecting with the community.
Enjoy browsing and swapping designer pieces or everyday wear that no longer suits your style. Volunteers will provide tokens matching the number of items you bring, which you can use to select new pieces to take home.
The event is family-friendly and encourages thoughtful participation to reduce textile waste and promote sustainable fashion.
- Drop off your clothing between 12:00 and 13:00 to receive your tokens.
- While waiting, explore FABRIK’s arts and heritage centre, including current exhibitions and a curated retail outlet.
- Between 13:30 and 14:00, enjoy a glass of bubbly or wine with some nibbles before the swap begins.
- Clothes swapping runs from 14:00 to 16:00.
- Leftover clothes will be donated to the local CFS Op Shop.
Please bring only freshly laundered women's clothing such as dresses, shirts, skirts, trousers, jackets, jumpers, T-shirts, tops, and shorts. Items must be in good condition without stains or damage. Men's, children's, baby clothing, underwear, socks, pajamas, accessories, hats, shoes, sandals, thongs, or gym wear are not accepted.
The event takes place at FABRIK, located at 1 Lobethal Rd, Lobethal SA 5241, Australia. Lobethal is a charming town in the Adelaide Hills region, easily accessible by car.
While you wait for the swap, take a stroll through Lobethal’s high street, which offers a variety of cafes perfect for a coffee or bite to eat.
FABRIK is an arts and heritage centre, so you can also enjoy cultural experiences alongside the swap event.
