Come and try clay target shooting, an exciting outdoor activity perfect for families looking to try something new and adventurous. Whether you're a complete beginner or just curious, this event offers a safe and fun introduction to the sport.
You'll get to take aim at 25 clay targets with everything provided including shells, shotgun rental, and basic coaching. No weapons license is needed, making it accessible for newcomers. The event welcomes anyone aged 11 and older, with parental supervision required for minors.
- Cost: $80 for 25 targets
- Additional rounds of 25 targets available for $38 each if time permits
- Bring fully enclosed footwear (no high heels) and photo ID (school ID for under 18s)
- Basic coaching included to help you get started
The event takes place at 10648 Toowoomba-Connection Rd, Charlton QLD 4350. The venue is well-equipped and staff will assist you upon arrival to complete necessary paperwork and prepare for your session.
- Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
- Be prepared for the kick of a 12-gauge shotgun
- Photo ID is mandatory for all participants
- Come and try days are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month, but sessions are available daily at 1:00 PM from March through May 2026
