Come and Try Vision Impaired Table Tennis (Swish)

Sports & Active

Experience the unique and exciting sport of Vision Impaired Table Tennis with the Frankston Vision Impaired Table Tennis Team.

Come and discover the fun and challenge of Vision Impaired Table Tennis, a sport designed for both vision impaired and sighted players. This inclusive activity offers a unique twist on traditional table tennis, making it accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

What to Expect

Vision Impaired Table Tennis, also known as Swish, features specialized equipment and rules. The bats are long and rectangular, and the balls contain bells to help players track their movement. The table is slightly longer than usual and includes a tall wooden panel instead of a net, creating a visual screen. Players hit the ball so it rolls under the screen to the other side, with wooden bumpers preventing the ball from rolling off the table.
