You’ll be guided every step of the way by experienced volunteers who provide coaching and safety briefings, ensuring a fun and secure session. Expect to engage in shooting 25 clay targets with all equipment provided, including shotgun hire and ammunition.
This activity is suitable for ages 11 and up, with participants under 18 required to attend with a parent or guardian. It’s a fantastic opportunity to try something new and adventurous with family or friends.
Activity Details
The session runs on the third Saturday of every month, starting sharply at 1:00 PM, so arriving by 12:45 PM is essential for sign-in and safety induction. The event lasts approximately three hours, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the experience.
Included in the $90 fee are 25 clay targets, shotgun hire, ammunition, and expert coaching. If you’re keen to shoot more, additional rounds of 25 targets are available for $40 each, subject to time.
Safety is paramount: all participants complete a mandatory briefing and are supervised throughout. Enclosed footwear is required, and certain clothing like puffer jackets should be avoided to ensure proper gun mounting.
Location and Access
The event takes place at the Toowoomba Clay Target Club, located at 10648 Warrego Hwy, Charlton QLD 4350. The venue is accessible by car, and ample parking is available on-site.
Charlton is a short drive from Toowoomba city, making it convenient for families living in or visiting the region. The club provides a friendly atmosphere where newcomers are welcomed warmly.
Participants are encouraged to bring photo ID or student/Medicare cards for under 18s, and to dress comfortably with safety in mind.
Important Information
Bookings are essential to secure your spot, with squads limited to five people per session. While the club will try to keep groups together, this cannot always be guaranteed.
Late arrivals may forfeit their booking, so punctuality is important. The session requires a commitment of about two hours or more; if you need to leave early, please inform the organizers in advance.
Photography is allowed, so feel free to capture memories or ask the team to take photos for you.
