Experience a fun and social community clothing swap where sustainability and community spirit come together. Bring your quality clothing items to exchange and discover new pieces to refresh your wardrobe without spending a dime. This event is perfect for families looking to teach children about reuse and reducing waste in an engaging environment.
The swap is part of the larger Unplugged at Partridge event featuring live music, guest speakers, markets, workshops, and delicious food vans. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with like-minded community members while supporting eco-friendly practices.
Whether you’re clearing out your closet or hunting for a fresh look, the Clothing Swap offers a welcoming space to participate in sustainable fashion.
The swap operates on a token system where you bring clean, good quality clothing (no shoes, bags, jewellery, or accessories) to exchange. Each participant can submit up to 10 items. Tokens are given during drop-off times and can be used to select new items during swap times.
- Clothing Drop-Off: 10:00–11:00 and 12:30–13:30
- Swap Times: 11:00–12:30 and 13:30–15:00
All swapped items are final with no returns, so choose carefully. Any leftover clothing will be donated to charity, supporting community reuse and extending the life of quality items.
The event is held at Partridge House, located at 38 Partridge Street, Glenelg SA. This accessible venue is easy to reach and offers a friendly community atmosphere. Attendees are encouraged to bring reusable bags for their swapped items to reduce waste further.
Parking and public transport options are available nearby, making it convenient for families to attend. The venue is part of the City of Holdfast Bay’s community spaces, known for hosting engaging and sustainable events.
Please ensure all clothing items are clean, in good condition, and suitable for swapping. The event does not accept shoes, bags, jewellery, or accessories. A maximum of 10 items per person is allowed.
By registering, participants agree to comply with the Clothing Swap guidelines. Swaps are final with no returns. The event promotes sustainability and community connection, so please respect the spirit of reuse and sharing.
This is a free community event, but bookings are required to help organisers plan effectively. You can book online to secure your spot and let the organisers know you plan to join.
